Heating Up DR's at track?

NEW!!!

I will make one calibration change for an additional $100 per change. For example, changing a shift point for a given gear is $100 vs changing a shift point and a pressure setting would be $200. That value can be used towards the full custom tuning price.

Heating Up DR's at track?

2011 CTS-V wagon. When heating up my DR's I just leave it in sport and it starts off in 1st and by the time I let off the brake and use throttle to keep it from hitting redlne I am in 3rd and once I let off and move forward it shifts to 4th.

After thinking about it and going to the track today, I am wondering if this is ok or should I hit it to lock it in 2nd and just heat the tires up in 2nd? or just let the trans do it thingn like I've been doing?

Hopefully this trans tune I am trying out will be the last.

Thanks
