NEW!!!

I will make one calibration change for an additional $100 per change. For example, changing a shift point for a given gear is $100 vs changing a shift point and a pressure setting would be $200. That value can be used towards the full custom tuning price.

13' Sierra 4x4 6L80 Cam'd/Turbocharged

First time poster here. I just ordered HP TUNERS PRO. I'm about to embark on the long road of tuning...

Heres what I have.

13' GMC Sierra RCSB 4x4.
Forged 370ci LQ9. 226/232 .587 112+3LSA cam. Meth injection. trick turbo 76mm front mount intercooled turbo@ 4.5PSI...Conservative tune @ 10.8:1 AFR @ WOT

CIRCLE D pro series stage 3 triple disk 265mm billet stall 2800RPMs.

The converter seems pretty tight. it has very streetable characteristics.

The tuner who tuned the truck uses efilive. and I don't think he was too familiar with the 6L80 and or didn't have the correct software to tune it properly. So I do believe Im in need of a proper transmission tune. Im not well versed in transmissions but I feel like the converter locks and unlocks randomly all over the place. I can feel the truck buck quite often.

Basically what Im looking for is a sporty, aggressive tune.

this is a daily driver and sees Northern Canadian winters with temperatures as low as -40c.

However this is obviously a bit of a race truck at the same time and i'll always have it geared towards more of a 1/4 mile race truck.

Seeing as I just ordered hp tuners, and also I work in remote locations in Northern Alberta. and my truck is at home...this is how I spend my evenings. Reading about tuning and what not online.

I wouldn't be able to post up my current tune until Im home near Christmas but I'll keep reading for now.

What I'd like to look at is what a stock 6l80 truck tune looks like, then I'll read about how to adjust for the stall converter and make the transmission shift in a sportier fashion.

Anyhow I look forward to learning about this tuning and this seems like the right place to be for the 6L80.
