2010 Tahoe with 6L80E and built 6.8 liter

NEW!!!

I will make one calibration change for an additional $100 per change. For example, changing a shift point for a given gear is $100 vs changing a shift point and a pressure setting would be $200. That value can be used towards the full custom tuning price.

2010 Tahoe with 6L80E and built 6.8 liter

I recently rebuilt my 2010 Tahoe as follows:

6.0 liter block stroked to 6.8, Texas Speed Stage 2 L99 VVT cam, aftermarket PRC heads, forged internals, etc.

I also had CircleD rebuild the 6L80E out of my Tahoe to Stage 2.5 level.

For the torque converter, I have a Cirle D Specialties 6L80 PRO SERIES MULTI 300MM, with 2800 stall.

Initially I used the tuner that the engine builder recommended, however, I think I am going to try to tune the transmission myself.  When I initially sent in my tune file and a few runs, the request that I got back from Circel D was " There was a hint of flare in log 4 during the 3/4 shift. He needs to reset and log again. Also since it’s a single disk, it’ll need the pressures modded to help with the slipping."

Steve, if you read this, after our phone call I went back and pulled the invoice, and it looks like what I actually have is a multi-disk torque converter, not a single disk.  Sorry for the confusion.

Also, I am changing the name of the tune file for clarity, and to keep the other tuners name off this forum, but its the samer tune file and same data file that you saw previously from Glenn at Circle D. Edited to mention that the TCM portion of this tune is stock 2010 Tahoe, or very close to it.

I have read most of the articles on this sight multiple times now, and am ready to dive in.  I'll be grateful for any advice or insight.
