'14 5.3L, 6speed auto, magnacharger, triple disc 3000rpm
Using hptuners, I have come across enough posts stating hptuners doesn't have the few tables required to keep this converter clutch locked at light throttle and cruising, but hoping there's a fix.
The issue is, under normal driving and light throttle variation, the converter feels like it's surging, locking/unlocking, flaring.
I've verified this thru scanning.
The 2013's have a ramp table, the '14 doesn't; so I flashed the 14 tcm to a 13 OS and the table shows, all seemed to flash and tune ok, but I get a random tcm to ecm comm code and the trans doesn't like this obviously.
So, flashed back to stock and just keeping the converter unlocked for now, trans stays cool enough.
So is there a fix for the converter surge?
