2015 Camaro SS, 2800RPM Circle D - making lock/unlock less harsh?

NEW!!!

I will make one calibration change for an additional $100 per change. For example, changing a shift point for a given gear is $100 vs changing a shift point and a pressure setting would be $200. That value can be used towards the full custom tuning price.

2015 Camaro SS, 2800RPM Circle D - making lock/unlock less harsh?

I had my transmission rebuilt about a year ago, and this included a 2800RPM converter. I actually am unsure if it's a single or triple disc converter - going to call the shop that did it tomorrow. Ever since it was installed and tuned, the lock/unlocks have been very harsh. My old tuner has said he set it to lock up under high pressure to extend the life of the converter - and I understand from a mechanical standpoint that it's better for the clutch material - but I really don't want to feel it as much as I do. Is it safe to soften these lockups a bit, and if so, how can I do that? Will we need to wait until I know whether it's tri or single disc?
