Hey Wacker I had a question for you about the clearances. I have the ATSG literature for reference of stock ranges. I'm going back together now with my unit after all the issues. Before finalizing everything I want to be sure I do everything I can to make sure it works properly. The 456 drum calls for .050-.074 clearance I replaced 4 frictions which there was only a few thousands difference between old/new ones. It's a Circle D 7 clutch setup at the 60 psi it holds no leaks .046-.048 clearance using a dial indicator is that an issue it's a little low. I know there's selectives, but I haven't changed anything that circle D did. I know aftermarket performance clutch packs and modifications can have clearance ranges that differ factory stuff.
1234 35r drum checks out good.
Center support is fixed according to ATSG at .050 with no selectives I found conflicting info on the the clearance that's more current I'll have to double check my I think my low reverse is .058 and 2-6 is .071 which is acceptable according to a transmission digest article I read. Anyways let me know most concerned about the 456 since it was the only drum that had any type of heat or clutch pack wear.
