I have a 2011 coupe, 17K miles on it. Full bolt on car making 651/662 to the tire on E85.
Mods as follows for background if anyone needs to know:
2.5 upper/9.1 lower. Seeing like 16 lbs of boost on dynojet
Kooks longtubes/off road/B&B catback/electronic cutouts
DMS flex fuel/E85
DMS external fuel system
FI Interchiller system
Aldo trunk tank setup. All lines from tank and to chiller and lid are -12 AN
ZL1 lid/reinforced brick
jokerz ported blower and snout
CAI and 102mm throttle body
Last fall the trans decided to take a crap while just cruising around. Local shop pulled it apart and found that 4-5-6 packs were toast, everything else looked "brand new". Rebuilt it with various Sonnax upgrades etc ( I don't recall EVERYTHING that went into it right this moment), and had them overfill the trans as well. I didn't drive it at all after rebuild until spring. Had a flat bed bring it home to avoid already salty Chicago streets and tucked it away in my heated garage for winter.
my 2-3 shift is the problem right now. #8 and #9 in the FAQ section were very helpful as I'm having both symptoms at part throttle in drive. My question there: should I do the fast learn or just reset the adaptives only? I see conflicting comments regarding that. But it seems that with a rebuilt trans, doing the full fast learn is what I should be trying?
Secondly with the 2-3 shift, its flaring bad at WOT in sport mode ( I have yet to make a WOT pass in drive so not sure if its doing it there also), bad enough that it pegs the limiter pretty often..even after reducing shift point. Was doing it EVERY time prior to reducing the shift point, but still flaring bad not matter what.
No other shifts have any issues, either in drive or sport mode or in part throttle or WOT. Its just the 2-3 misbehaving.
Let me know your thoughts, thanks!
Sean
