NEW!!!

I will make one calibration change for an additional $100 per change. For example, changing a shift point for a given gear is $100 vs changing a shift point and a pressure setting would be $200. That value can be used towards the full custom tuning price.

Hi there,

We came accross your website while doing some research on the 6l80e through google. We had some contact by mail and we subscribed here to see if you could help us.
I dont know if introduction is neccesary here, but hey, better safe then sorry.

My name is Michel and i work at Henri's Power Transmissions. We are a small company located in the Netherlands and we mainly rebuild automatic transmissions. Next to our daily work we also prepare and modify transmissions for race and rally cars. Next to the transmissions, we also do some transmission software tuning with HP tuners and EFI live.
About 2,5 years ago we had our first software tuning encounter with a 6l80E(corvette C6). After we rebuilded the Unit the car the car came to us for additional software modifications later in the year. But only when the car was here, we gotten the whole story. The engine in this car was now a LS7 with almost 600 BHP and a massive 700nm of torque. We then came to realise that this transmission wasnt going to last forever. We did some software improvement with pressures and shift speeds and the transmission held for 2 years. The car came back and the transmission needed a new rebuild.
This time we rebuilded the transmission to the cars specs. We did these modifications:

* All clutches are equipted with Alto red eagle Frictions(except the 4-5-6 clutch)
* Added more frictions to each clutch
* Eliminated waved steels from 3-5-R clutch and 4-5-6 Clutch
* Replaced the hub with the one from Circle D and equipted the 4-5-6 clutch with powerglide plates

We already made a transmission with this setup in a prepped camaro with a ls3 supercharger, and it performed great. Shifts are nice and comfortable on low tps, and crisp and firm when demanding power.

Nw t this transmission was build the same way. It was installed somewhere else and was test drivin. The transmission shifts quite good, except it was real hard on the 2-3, 4-5 and when engaging the reverse. We came to see that the software was altered to stock. When we compared it to our own file, it was completly different. Back then we had little experience with 6l80E software. Now we see that the file that we adjusted back then was quite different than the file you would original see in a corvette C6.
Just to make sure we put in our file we once custom made for this car. Ran a quick learn, and took it for a drive. The engagement of the reverse is way better. And 4-5 is nice as well. But the 2-3 is good as long as your throttle is below 15% or so. It will shift good, exceed it with 5% and it will give you hell when shifting to 3th.
We also gotten our hands on the Tuning guide from the tunning school, but this is not really a book that explains allot. It only tells you what to change.
So we want to see if this problem can be elminated with some software tuning, or that we have a Valvebody/Transmission issue.

I will upload 2 files. The first file is the configuration that it was in when we got it. We changed some shift points and tcc point. We also gave it a little bit more pressure and reduced the base shifttiming(We now know that these are normally 0 and will only work with adders. This file was modified to work with a base table). The file is called Corvette C6 LS7 6L80E HPT001
The second one is how we got the car in last week. This looks like a stock file with adders. This is called Corvette C6 White LS7 21-08-2013. This is how it came in this week.

I can make log files and do all kinds of things when more info is needed.
Just let me know.

Best regards

Michel Schmets
