NEW!!!

I will make one calibration change for an additional $100 per change. For example, changing a shift point for a given gear is $100 vs changing a shift point and a pressure setting would be $200. That value can be used towards the full custom tuning price.

Holley Terminator 6L90e Tuning

Hey Guys,

I am new to the forum but have been playing with the newish 6l90e/ holley terminator interface. So far i have had some great success but i am struggling with a WOT take off issue.

The truck is a 1990 2wd Suburban with a 11.3:1 370ci LS and a 232/236 .600/.600 114lsa cam. the truck makes great power and has ran a 12.98 with a 4.30 gear and 4200 stall 245mm circle d converter 4l80e. I swapped to the 6l90e, a 258mm 3500 stall converter and 3.73 rear gears to gain back some driveability and take advantage of the low first gear. iam using HP tuners to tune the T43 and the holley terminator runs the motor/torque managment (timing reduction vs torque reduction required has worked best for me)

so far it the swap has done everything i wanted it to besides i seem to have a stumbling issue on WOT take off almost as if the trans is reducing power even though through data logs it doesnt seem to be reducing anything.

My tuner has told me it is becaus the torque converter is too tight but the different stages of rpm on WOT take off have me wondering if its something specifically to do with 6l80/6l90 tuning.

I have uploaded a PDF with screenshots of the datalog that shows the stumble aswell as the only factors of the holley tuning that can effect the 6l80e that i know of. I will also attach the holley tune if i can figure out how to do so.

Let me know what you think i am in no way any kind of expert i just love messing around!

Thanks in adavnce.
