NEW!!!

I will make one calibration change for an additional $100 per change. For example, changing a shift point for a given gear is $100 vs changing a shift point and a pressure setting would be $200. That value can be used towards the full custom tuning price.

L94 & 6L80 swap into 1992 K1500 Blazer

Hi there! New member here with some basic questions for now. I have a 2012 6.2L L94 and 6L80 that I'm swapping in to my 1992 Blazer. The engine and trans are out of seperate vehicles, however they are both out of identically optioned 2012 Denalis. Both were AWD, single speed transfer case. My plan is to use an NP246 2 speed transfer case. A BCM will be in the mix for stock Cruise Control, Tap up & down shifting, and tow mode. I'm thinking I'll be using EFILive for tuning. I want to keep the setup as close to stock as I can. I'll be keeping the cats and evap.

My first question is about 4WD Low range. Will both the TCM and E38 need new operating systems, since they didn't have low range originally? Next, what about the "low" range signal. According to the 2012 service manual, that signal is sent over the CAN bus, not an option for the NP246. It also says that the ECM compares the speed signals from the 6L80 and the VSS in the transfer case as a backup for low range determination. Can that be used as a replacement for the CAN bus signal? Or is there a way to directly signal the E38 that the transfer case is in low range?

That'll do it for the moment, but I'll have many more questions for sure! Thanks in advance for any and all help!
