Lockup Converter, looking for highest HP rated on the market

NEW!!!

I will make one calibration change for an additional $100 per change. For example, changing a shift point for a given gear is $100 vs changing a shift point and a pressure setting would be $200. That value can be used towards the full custom tuning price.

Lockup Converter, looking for highest HP rated on the market

Steve,

I'm having trans issues again and believe its the converter but will not know for sure the actual problem until it makes it to the shop and taken apart. The trans has held up well considering the power and weight of the car but as most of us horsepower junkies, I'm looking for bigger, better, stronger components if available.

I'm running between 800 blower only and 1100+ rwhp depending on nitrous shot. I have been locking starting in 3rd for a while now.

Can you offer your experience on other converters in addition to the Circle D?

I'm looking for a lockup converter that is designed for the highest horsepower on the market. Currently run a PATC quad disk and once it starts to lock it does so very quick and hard which I desire. I have sent you some logs in the past when I first starting tuning to lock. Although my logs reflect no slip after it locks while on blower only, (800+ rwhp) adding 300HP + with nitrous it appears to slip  approx. 150-180 rpms and seems to not fully lock.

Lately on blower only, logs reflect 0 to -4 rpms slip (normal) to about 130 mph, as I accelerate to 150-170 the slippage increases to about +12 to +18 rpms  I assume that means the converter is not holding sufficent to handle the power. This past weekend trans finally let go.

Do you have any recommendations? Do you have any experience with the TCI new bolt together race converter?

Thanks for your time
