Newly built 6L80E and flare issue

I will make one calibration change for an additional $100 per change. For example, changing a shift point for a given gear is $100 vs changing a shift point and a pressure setting would be $200. That value can be used towards the full custom tuning price.

Newly built 6L80E and flare issue

Good morning.

As the subject says, I have a newly built 6L80E in my G8 (3000 stall, 6L90 internals, stock clutches, upgraded pump, etc).

Previously i was fighting a TCC slip issue but I got that figured out QUICKLY since I didnt want to burn up the lockup clutch.

Now I have this crazy flare issue. Its not just 2-3. Its EVERY SINGLE SHIFT. 1-2, 2-3, 3-4, 4-5, 5-6. Its driving me plain mad.

Ive raised the shift pressue, reduced the shift times, ran 0% TM... ARGH! Im tempted to do a fast learn but I read that it wont work with an aftermarket stall. I reset/preset the trans adapts and trans fast adapts. It helped SOME but not much. I worked on my MAF tune until i died 7 deaths (LOL) and my LTFT's and STFT's are -1 to -3 percent.

Should I attempt a Fast Learn anyway? Is there anything I can do to help it NOT fail? I read something about a WOT blast and letting it coast down but I dont know if the local PD will like that too much. Wait... the MD State Trooper that patrols near my house with a Caprice PPV jokingly said he wanted some more power so that he can catch me faster "next time"... I just might go mess with him... LOL!

So... Fast Learn???
