Hi Ive got a 2009 G8 that has burnt a few transmissions, Ive just fitted a new stock tranmission but I havnt driven it cause Iam nervous itll burn this one out aswell, so can someone double check my tune to see if theres any thing that be might cause the tranny to keep burning the clutches out:
Tranny tune is stock other than i increased the oil pressure in the higher torque range in the base shift tables and I scaled back the torque axis 25% due to the ID1000 injectors being scaled back 25% in the engine tune, also shift speed tables adjusted for the 3:46 diff gears, torque convertor is stock too.
Engine tune is only roughly done, engine is 402 stroker small cam, and eforce supercharger running 12 psi and is setup for E85 aswell, Its fitted with ID1000 injectors and tune is scaled back 25%, using ID injector data, also set to MAF only at this stage just till I feel comfortant tranny will last then I'll finish the eng tune off properly, VVE hasnt been done yet, The air mass tables in torque manangment has been multiplied by 1.3 and the eq ratio in TM has been multiplied by 1.5 aswell, so far the MAF curve has been mostly tuned and the injector data seems be working ok, cold starts still need some work, but it idles fine and revs fine when stopped just running of the MAF curve, I just cant get the tranny to last long enough so I can finish the engine tune.
Is it possible to scan the tranny for any clutch slip whilest IAm tuning the engine so I can stop tuning before a burn the tranny out agin?
Any advice will be appreciated, whats the next step, Iam all ears? TIA
