NEW!!!

I will make one calibration change for an additional $100 per change. For example, changing a shift point for a given gear is $100 vs changing a shift point and a pressure setting would be $200. That value can be used towards the full custom tuning price.

Torque Management

I have done tuning on both 6l80e and 90e transmissions and have a few questions.

For some background information, I always reduce the shift times to around .350sec and but the pressures up by around 25% allong with disabling upshift torque management, disabling discreet torque, and leaving all other TM enabled.
Since I have done this on gen 4 trucks, I get a very nice tug into gear no slippage or bangs. Just a nice clean tug and shift. It feels very nice and isn't overly aggressive. Is there a big longitivity issue with removing all upshift TM? (I leave set to torque ramp)
All over these vehicles are 100% stock gm trucks that do function as trucks.

Also another question. I followed my theory for the gen 4 to the gen 5 trucks. When doing the exact same thing I found that the shifts are aggressive and quite firm. So, I commanded a percentage of torque management threw the adder modifier table (-.5) so 50% TM. This made the shifts feel about the same as leaving the upshift torque management off. Out of curiosity I entered a -1 in the entire table thinking that would be the same as shutting off upshift torque management. What I found was quite different. Instead of aggressive shifts I found SUPER aggressive shifts. Tire barking at Part throttle in a 6500lb truck. Not good. I ended up interpolating between -.7 at the low torque and rpm to -.2 in the wot range of that adder modifier table.

Does it sound like I'm on the right track for making these truck transmissions live? IMO having a nice clean tug into gear (not jaw busting) is by far better for the transmission life even if it means no upshift torque management.

Thanks for your time.
