Sudden downshift issue

NEW!!!

I will make one calibration change for an additional $100 per change. For example, changing a shift point for a given gear is $100 vs changing a shift point and a pressure setting would be $200. That value can be used towards the full custom tuning price.

Sudden downshift issue

Hi, I have just joined your site seeking help on the following issue

I am having final teething issues with my swap project. I have swapped in a Gen IV 6.2 engine and 6L80e into a SWB 1994 Blazer. The engine idles well when not in gear but on the road i have 2 issues :

1) At low speed cruzing or slowing down for traffic the throttle response deteriorates and the engine wants to stall. I have to pump the pedal several times before I get a response again. The overall driving experience is rather poor.

2) with mild normal driving acceleration the transmission downshift (at the end of the acceleration ) from 5th to 2nd , locking up the rear wheels at highway speeds. The tranny shifts to all gears when in D6 , stays in first gear when in D5 , Shifts from 1 to 2 when in D2.

I have cleared all DTC erors. Apart from The ECM and built in TCM i dont have anything else connected (such as a BCM or EBCM). I was informed by a GM Technician that I might need a brake signal coming from EBCM to make the learn procedure successfully and to run the car properly. At the moment i only Teed in to the brake pedal sensor and pin 9 on X1 but when logging status bit I dont see the brake signal when engine is running (I see it when key at ignition position).

The Tranny is MY 2009 and so is the ECM (flashed with stock Esclade 2009 tune)

I have logged using your config files, the event in the engine log occur at 6:59 and tran log at around 1:40

thanks

PS: when I logged the intake 4" pipe was not connected to the filter , so there is a bit of turbulence at the MAF i guess. However , the issue was there even when the filter was connected.
